You might remember a while ago that I mentioned a Kickstarter campaign my friend (and super talented photographer of The Southern Retro project) Mat Keller was doing with some pals to launch a new magazine called In Retrospect.
Following on from the launch issue being successfully funded by Kickstarter pledges, the guys have now made it to issue 4 (with a lot of bloody hard work!) and with issue 5 plans currently well under way, I just wanted to write a post to publicly high five these guys really.
Slight disclaimer here as I write for the magazine but I wouldn't be doing that if it wasn't for the people behind the mag putting so much love in to keeping their dream alive so well done guys! In a digital world, creating a printed magazine is no easy task and some would have said it was impossible. Thank you for helping prove that print's not dead!
I'm currently writing a photography column which basically means I get research and chat about artists work that I love (lucky me, yes?!) Starting off with Vivien Maier issue 1 followed by David Bailey in issue 2.
Issue 3 was the summer issue so Bunny Yeager, model turned photographer and maker of bikinis and beautiful images (no the selfie is not a new thing!) seemed the perfect photographer of choice for bringing some summer glamour to the magazine) and in the current issue I'm looking at the beautiful images of Horst
